Institute Overview
Established: 2010, as part of the new-generation NITs, declared an Institute of National Importance by Parliament.
Location: Currently operates from a temporary urban campus in Aizawl (Chaltlang), spanning multiple academic blocks and several hostels. A permanent campus is under development at Lengpui on a 190‑acre site.
Programs Offered: B.Tech in CSE, ECE, EEE, Civil, Mechanical; M.Tech and Ph.D. across engineering, natural sciences, and humanities.

Academic setup includes one administrative block, 4–6 academic blocks, and separate hostel blocks for boys and girls.
